Strawberry Alarm with Nina Koegelenberg

Strawberry Alarm is my attempt to make the Monday mornings a little bit easier on all of us, by asking creative people to share the things that keep them from snoozing that alarm button.

***

The pilot post in the series is featuring Nina Koegelenberg, a talented 23 year old from Cape Town, South Africa. Nina has graduated from the AAA School of Advertising with a degree in Visual Brand Communication. Today, Nina is working at a boutique marketing agency. Wondering what are her projects like? Make sure to check out the TellTale! (pics below, more info on Behance).

Here are the things that get Nina out of bed on Monday morning:

1. Coffee!

2. My City. Living in a vibrant and culturally diverse city like Cape Town walking to work is always a good way to start the day. Its a city rich in design that is always challenging you to take creativity to the next level.

3. Blogs. I love coming in to work and taking a few minutes to catch up with new posts on my favourite blogs. Keeping up with new innovations, fresh design and the latest news keeps my creative juices flowing and helps me to stay motivated in a largely corporate environment.

4. Laughs. Working in a small agency means hard work but also a lot of fun. Having a good time at work definitely makes it easier to get up in the morning!

5. Learning. Working in this industry you can't help but learn something new every day. Having to come up with creative solutions in a short amount of time keeps me on my toes and teaches me to work faster and smarter every day.

Thank you, Nina! Don't forget to stop by next Sunday, for five more ways to keep your alarm clock alive!
