It has always been of great interest to me how do gift-picking websites divide their gifts into those "For Him", those "For Her", and those "For the Couples". I don't mean to get all feministic here, but why is it that a spare change holder is "For Her"? Don't men have spare change? Don't they need a place to store it?
But some websites actually do it pretty well - they manage to figure out exactly what sets men and women apart. Quite often, women would be looking for 'cuteness', while men are into something dangerous. A perfect example are those hot pot holders from Animi Causa.
The one "for her" is a red hot man, holding the dinner with his hands and knees:
And here is the one for him. Same concept, only this time, the red hot man is.. well.. dead.
What did you kids take from this story? Yup, men like the other men in the kitchen to be a little bit less than alive.
