This tiny house is a dream of anyone who is obsessed with numerology... and carbon footprint. See, the house is not just a perfect 3x3 cube, but also is a perfect residence for anyone who wants to live a comfortable life with a minimal impact on the environment.
QB1 is a literal cube inside — roughly 97 square feet, and it’s spacious enough to house a lounge, table, two chairs, a double bed, a full-size shower, a kitchen, a washing machine, and a composting toilet.
The carbon-neutral cube is designed to generate more energy than it uses over the course of one year. A Mitsubishi 1.48 kW rooftop solar system, upon registration with the UK’s feed-in-tariff program, would send about $1,600 cash to the owner from surplus energy over the year.
A surplus! Surplus! When was the last time you have heard anyone being paid for an energy surplus? Watch the video above for a tour of the 'crib', or click here for a panorama view of the house.
