A beautiful and thought-provoking project by Alejandro Duran. Washed up "is an ongoing project that addresses the issue of plastic pollution making its way across the ocean and onto the shores of Sian Ka’an, Mexico’s largest federally-protected reserve. Because of the ocean currents, Sian Ka’an is a repository for garbage carried from every point of the globe."
Washed up is certainly inspirational, and I wish someone has started a project of this kind for the Caspian seashore... The pollution around here is of a different kind, but it is no longer at the level global environmentalist should ignore...
I will do my best at keeping an eye on what kind of public responses Washed Up will generate. Hopefully, some of them will take the form of an action.
